SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 153
REPORTED BY MR. PITTMAN

IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES,

July 6, 1939.
Resolved, That five hundred copies of the Executive Journal from the beginning
of the Seventy-second Congress up to and including the end of the first session of
the Seventy-sixth Congress be printed under the direction of the Secretary of the
Senate, with suitable indexes to each volume; and that hereafter the same num-
ber of copies of the Executive Journal with proper indexes be printed at the close
of each regular and special session of the Senate; and be it further

Resolved, That the Executive Journals herein referred to shall not be made
public except by the order of the Senate.

SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 223
REPORTED BY MR. HAYDEN

IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES,
February 9, 1950.

Resolved, That the Secretary of the Senate is hereby authorized to dispose of,
by whatever method he may deem appropriate, the following documents (except
file copies) in his possession; and the injunction of secrecy now in effect upon any
of such documents is hereby removed.

Printed copies of the Executive Journals of the Senate together with indexes
for certain years for the period from December 1, 1901, to December 31, 1948,
as follows:

[Here are named all volumes of the Executive Journals beginning with
volume 33 and running up to and including volume 90, with the exception
of those volumes named in section 2 of this resolution.]

SEC. 2. The Executive Journals of the Senate (except the original and file
copies), together with indexes, for the following years, shall, when printed, be
disposed of by the Secretary as provided in the first paragraph of this resolution,
and, when printed, the injunction of secrecy now in effect upon any of such
documents is removed.

[Here are named volumes 47, 49, 51, 54, 58, 61, 62, 63, 65, 67, 69, 72,
73, and 91.]

SEC. 3. Hereafter, not more than fifty copies of the Executive Journal for a
session of the Congress, including the documents designated in the foregoing
section, shall be printed.
