OPENING STATEMENT OF HON. EDMUND MUSKIE, U.S. SENATOR FROM THE STATE OF MAINE

Senator MUSKIE. The committee will be in order.

Today's hearing is for the purpose of permitting the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency to present formally to this subcommittee his decision regarding suspension of 1975 auto

emission standards.
