DIVISION D.-FARM IMPLEMENTS AND THEIR TRIALS. A trial of all implements and machinery in this division will be held on the fair grounds. To insure that every attention and facility will be given to exhibitors and competitors, a special sub-committee of the executive committee has been appointed, to whom will be assigned the duty of making the proper preparations and arrangements on the grounds. The committee who has charge of trials this year is H. O. Hanford of Plymouth, assisted by such members as he may select. 1. Entries of all articles should be made previous to Tuesday, the 19th of September. But exhibitors requiring power should have their entries made some days previous to the fair at the office of the secretary. 2. Machinery will be run by steam power, on shafting one and three-quarters inch diameter, and running at the rate of 250 revolutions per minute. 3. Each exhibitor of plows, cultivators, barrows, or other implements or machines requiring to be tested in the field, is required to have entry made at the office of the secretary during the week previous to the 17th of September, that a proper classification may be made, and that the committee may have a full opportunity to prepare for the trial and testing of each entry. 4. The plowing match and trial of plows, and the testing of implements and machinery in the field, will commence on Wednesday, the 21st of September, and will be conducted on such grounds as may be selected under the general direction of the committee above named. The committee of judges will note that their presence is required on the fair grounds on the 21st, and exhibitors who have not their machines present will not be able to compete, though they may exbibit. A full and complete programme of the order of exhibition and trials will be published through the press previous to the opening of the fair. D-CLASS 28-PLOWS AND THEIR TRIALS.
