All models, of whatever kind, must be entered in the class, and the viewing committee will examine them, report on them, and if considered wortby, a diploma or certificate of the society will be awarded by such committee.

All small utensils and articles of machinery, not elsewhere classified, may be entered in this class, and will be reported on by the viewing committee, who are empowered to award such premiums as they may deem just, if the article is meritorious.

Diploma N. B.-All diplomas should be applied for at the office of the society at Pontiac. If not applied for they will be sent by express on notification of address, when it is possible to do so.

On motion of Mr. Green, each member of the committee was instructed to risit and ascertain of manufacturers and breeders in their immediate neighborhoods, if they will exhibit at our next annual fair, and report such information as may be obtained to the secretary.

The following additional premiums, on motion of Mr. Brown, were added to the premium list:

For the best horse shoes, not less than three in number, of each of the following kinds, viz: Plates, trotting shoes, bow shoes, shoes for general purposes, and for heavy work-1st premium, $15; 2d do., $10. For the best shod horse, $10; second best, $5.

Morning Session, February 27. Called to order by the president at 84 A. M. Roll called and quorum present. Minutes of last meeting read and approved.

Mr. Sterling offered the following resolution, which was unanimously adopted :

Resolved, That the Michigan State Agricultural and Mechanical Society borrow, for the immediate use of said society, the sum of one thousand dollars, to be paid on the 1st day of October, 1873, with interest at the rate of ten per cent per annum, and issue the negotiable paper of this society, in accordance herewith.

The negotiable paper was immediately issued.

By vote of the committee, the printing was made subject to the express order of the business committee.

By vote of the committee, the admission and dinner tickets were ordered obtained by treasurer.

Mr. Hanford offered the following additional premium list rule : Exhibitors with articles or animals which require their personal attention, will be furnished with entrance tickets, on application to the superintendent in charge of the several departments at the latter's discretion, which tickets will be taken up on presentation at the gate. Adopted.

Mr. C. W. Green, of Farmington, declined the position of chief marshal, and resigned his position. The members of the committee without exception, expressed regret at the resignation, and his resignation was not accepted.

Mr. Green again tendered his resignation, and insisted upon its acceptance. Mr. Sterling offered the following resolution, which was adopted :

Resolved, That the chairman of the business committee be authorized to take up and cancel the checks of the Northern Michigan Agricultural and Mechanical Society, named in a schedule of orders, to which a certified copy of this resolution is appended, with the exception of order No. 604, for $700,
