CHRIST from the dead is rais'd, and made

THROUGH the starry orbs ascending,
Where Thy throne of glory call'd,
Rob'd from Heav'n with power unending,

Lord, thy kingdoms three adore Thee,

All the knee submissive bow.

O CHRIST, Who hast prepared a place

And draw them with the cords of love.
Source of all good, Thou, gracious Lord,
Art our exceeding great Reward:
How light, how brief our present pain!
How boundless our eternal gain!
With open face and joyful heart,
We there shall see Thee as Thou art,
Our love shall never cease to glow,
Our praise shall never cease to flow.
Thy never-failing grace to prove,
In surety of Thine endless love,
Send down the Holy Ghost, to be
The Raiser of our souls to Thee.
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
