ND the third day there was a marriage in Cana

A of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was

AND both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.

AND when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus 3 saith unto him, They have no wine.

JESUS saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do 4 with thee? Mine hour is not yet come.

His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever 5 he saith unto you, do it.

AND there were set there six waterpots of stone, 6 after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.

JESUS saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with 7 water. And they filled them up to the brim. AND he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.

WHEN the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was, (but the servants which drew the water knew,) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,

AND saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

THIS beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

12 AFTER this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days.

So Jesus came again wine, and there was a cere O JESUS came again into Cana of Galilee, where tain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum. 47 WHEN he heard that Jesus was come out of Judæa into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.

48 THEN said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

49 THE nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.

50 JESUS saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.

AND as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth.

THEN enquired he of them the hour when he be- 52 gan to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.

SO THE father knew that it was at the same hour, 53 in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.

THIS is again the second miracle that Jesus did, 54 when he was come out of Judæa into Galilee.

ND he came to Nazareth, where he had been 16 A brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

AND there was delivered unto him the book of 17 the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, THE Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he 18 hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

TO PREACH the acceptable year of the Lord.

AND he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.

21 AND he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

22 AND all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?

23 AND he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country.

24 AND he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.

25 BUT I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land;

26 BUT unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.

27 AND many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.

28 AND all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,

29 AND rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.

30 BUT he passing through the midst of them, went his way,

AND came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, 31 and taught them on the sabbath days.

ND it came to pass, that, as the people pressed 1 upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,

AND saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.

AND he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.

Now when he had left speaking, he said unto 4 Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.

AND Simon answering said unto him, Master, 5 we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down

the net.

AND when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. AND they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

WHEN Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' 8
