Էջ 326 - A vacancy in the commission shall not impair the right of the remaining commissioners to exercise all the powers of the commission.
Էջ 118 - A patent may not be obtained though the invention is not identically disclosed or described as set forth in section 102 of this title, if the differences between the subject matter sought to be patented and the prior art are such that the subject matter as a whole would have been obvious at the time the invention was made to a person having ordinary skill in the art to which said subject matter pertains.
Էջ 326 - That a commission is hereby created and established, to be known as the Federal Trade Commission (hereinafter referred to as the commission) , which shall be composed of five commissioners, who shall be appointed by the President, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate. Էջ 336 - The responsibility for granting patents is placed upon a Board consisting of the Secretary of State, the Secretary of War, and the Attorney General. The Board members have the power to issue a patent, "if they shall deem the invention or discovery sufficiently useful and important," for a period not to exceed 14 years.
