Y al que te quitare la capa, no le impidas tampoco llevar la túnica.

30 Y todo el que te pidiere, dale; y al que tomáre lo que es tuyo, no se lo demandes.

31 Y como quereis que los hombres hagan á vosotros, así mismo haced vosotros á ellos.

32 Porque si amais á los que os aman¿qué gracias habréis? Porque tambien los pecadores aman á los que los aman á ellos.

33 Y si hiciereis bien á los que os hacen bien ¿qué gracias habréis? Porque tambien hacen lo mismo los pecadores.

34 Y si prestareis á aquellos de quienes esperais recibir ¿qué gracias habréis? Porque tambien los pecadores prestan á los pecadores, para recibir otra tanto.

35 Amad pues á vuestros enemigos, haced bien, y prestad sin esperar de ello nada, y será vuestro galardon grande, y seréis hijos del Altisimo. Porque él es benigno (aun) para con los ingratos y malos.

36 Sed pues misericordiosos, así como vuestro Padre tambien es misericordioso.

37 No juzgueis, y no seréis juzgados. No condeneis, y no sereis condenados, perdonad, y seréis perdonados.

38 Dad, y se os dará. Medida buena, y apretada, y remecida, y rebosando darán en vuestro regazo: porque con la misma medida que midiereis, se os volverá á medir.

39 Y les decía tambien una semejanza. ¿Puede el ciego guiar al ciego? ¿No caerán ambos en el hoyo?

40 El discípulo no es sobre su maestro: mas todo aquel que fuere como su maestro, será perfecto. 41 & Porqué miras tú la paja que está en el ojo de tu hermano, y no

30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. 31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.

33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.

34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners; to receive as much again.

35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the

evil.

36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

39 And he spake a parable unto them; Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?

40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.

41 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye

42 ¿O cómo puedes decir á tu hermano: Deja hermano, echaré, fuera la paja que está en tu ojo, quando no percibes la viga, que tienes en tu mismo ojo? Hipócrita, O quitate primero de tu ojo la viga, ·y entónces verás, para sacar la paja del ojo de tu hermano.

43 Porque no hay buen árbol que haga frutos malos, ni árbol malo que haga frutos buenos.

144 Porque cada árbol, por su fruto es conocido. Porque no se cogen higos de los espinos, ni vendimian uvas de las zarzas.

45 El hombre bueno, del buen tesoro de su corazon saca bien; y el hombre malo, del mal tesoro de su Corazon saca mal, porque de la abundancia del corazon habla su boca.

46 ¿Porqué me llamais Señor, Señor, y no haceis lo que digo?

47 Todo aquel que viene á mí, y oye mis palabras, y las practica, os mostraré á quien es semejante.

148 Semejante es al hombre que edificá una casa, el cual cavó, y ahondó, y pusó los cimientos sobre la roca, y viniendo una inundacion, idrio rompió contra aquella casa, I has no pudó moverla, porque estaba fundada sobre roca.

49 Mas el que oye, y no hace, es semejante á un hombre que edificá isu casa sobre tierra sin cimiento, contra la cual rompió el rio, y luezo cayó, y fué grande la ruina de aquella casa.

but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

42 Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.

43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.

45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil. man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

46 ¶ And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:

48 He is like a man which built a house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it; for it was founded upon a rock.

49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built a house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

2 Y había allí muy enfermo, y casi á la muerte un criado muy estimado de cierto centurion.

3 Y cuando oyó de Jesus, envió á él los ancianos de los Judios, rogándole que viniese, á curar á su criado.

4 Y llegándo ellos luego á Jesus, rogáronle con instancia diciendole, porque es digno que le otorgues

esto.

5 Porque amá á nuestra nacion, y él nos ha edificado la sinagoga. 6 Y Jesus fué con ellos, y cuando él estuvó ya no lejos de la casa, el centurion le envió sus amigos diciendole: Señor, no te molestes, porque no soy digno de que entres debajo de mi techo.

7 Por lo cual ni aun me tuve por digno de venir á tí: pero dí una palabra, y mi siervo será sano.

8 Porque yo tambien soy hombre puesto bajo autoridad, teniendo soldados á mis órdenes, digo á este, vé y va; á otro ven, y viene; y á mi criado, haz esto, y lo hace.

9 Cuando Jesus oyó esto, se maravilló mucho de él, y volviendose dijó á las gentes que le seguían: Digoos que ni aun en Israel he hallado tanta fé.

10 Y cuando los que fueron enviados volvieron á la casa, halláron sano al criado, que había estado enfermo. 11 Y aconteció el dia siguiente, que iba él á una ciudad llamada Naim, y muchos de sus discípulos, y una gran muchedumbre de pueblo iban con él.

12 Y cuando llegó cerca de la puerta de la ciudad, he aquí que sacaban fuera á un difunto, hijo único de su madre, la cual tambien erá viuda. Y venía con ella mucha gente de la ciudad.

2 And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die.

3 And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.

4 And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this:

5 For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.

6 Then Jesus went with them And when he was now not fa from the house, the centurion sen friends to him, saying unto him Lord, trouble not thyself; for I am not worthy that thou shouldes enter under my roof:

7 Wherefore neither thought myself worthy to come unto thee but say in a word, and my servan shall be healed.

8 For I also am a man set unde authority, having under me sol diers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come and he cometh; and to my servant Do this, and he doeth it.

9 When Jesus heard these things he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the peo ple that followed him, I say unt you, I have not found so grea faith, no, not in Israel.

10 And they that were sent, re turning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.

11 ¶ And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciple: went with him, and much people.

12 Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, ther was a dead man carried out, th only son of his mother, and sh was a widow and much peopl of the city was with her.

13 Y cuando el Señor la vió, movido á compasion de ella díjóle: No llores.

14 Y acercándose tocó el féretro, los que le llevaban se paráron, y dijó: Mancebo, á tí digo, levantate.

15 Y el muerto sentóse, y comenzó á hablar. Y dióle á su madre.

16 Y todos fueron cogidos de temor, y glorificaban á Dios, diciendo: un gran Profeta se ha levantado entre nosotros: Y Dios ha visitado á sú pueblo.

17 Y corrió de él esta fama por toda la Judea, y por toda la tierra le alrededor.

18 Y los discípulos de Juan le ontaron todas estas cosas. 19 Y Juan llamó á dos de sus discípulos, y los envió á Jesus diciendo, ¿Eres tú aquel que había de venir, ó esperaremos á otro?

13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.

14 And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.

15 And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.

16 And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people.

17 And this rumour of him went forth throughout all Judea, and throughout all the region round about.

18 And the disciples of John shewed him of all these things.

19 And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?

21 Y Jesus en aquella misma hora sanó á muchos de enfermedades, de plagas, y de espíritus malos, y dió vista á muchos ciegos.

22 Y respondiendo Jesus les dijó: Il, y contad á Juan lo que habeis ido y visto que los ciegos, ven, bs cojos andan, los leprosos son limpiados, los sordos oyen, los muertos resucitan, y es anunciado el Evangelio á los pobres.

23 Y bienaventurado es aquel que 10 fuere escandalizado en mí.

24 Y cuando se hubieron ido los mensageros de Juan, comenzó á hablar de Juan á las gentes; ¿qué salisteis á ver al desierto? ¿alguna aña agitada del viento?

21 And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight.

22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

23 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

24 And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind?

25 ¿ Mas qué salisteis á ver? ¿ al៩ gun hombre vestido de ropas delicadas? He aquí que los que visten ropas preciosas, y viven en delicias, en los palacios de los Reyes

estan.

26 Mas qué salisteis á ver? ¿algun Profeta? Tambien os digo, y aun mas que Profeta.

27 Este es de quien está escrito: He aquí envio mi ángel delante de tu faz, el cual aparejará tu camino delante de tí.

28 Porque os digo, que entre los nacidos de mugeres, no hay mayor Profeta que Juan el Bautista, mas el menor en el reyno de los cielos, es mayor que él.

29 Y todo el pueblo, y los publicanos que le oyeron, justificaron á Dios, estando bautizados con el bautismo de Juan.

30 Mas los Phariseos, y la Doctores de la Ley, desecharon el consejo de Dios contra sí mismos; no siendo bautizados por él.

31 Y dijó el Señor ¿á quién pues compararé los hombres de esta generacion, y á qué son ellos semejantes?

32 Semejantes son á los muchachos, que estan sentados en la plaza, y dan voces los unos los otros diciendo: os tañímos, y no baylasteis; os plañímos, y no llorasteis.

33 Porque vinó Juan el Bautista que ni comía pan, ni bebía vino. Y decís; Demonio tiene.

34 Y vinó el Hijo del hombre que come, y bebe, y decís: He aquí un hombre comilon, y bebedor de vino, amigo de publicanos, y pecadores.

35 Mas la sabiduria es justificada por todos sus hijos.

36 Y uno de los Phariseos le rogabá que fuese á comer con él; y habiendo entrado en la casa del Phariseo sentóse á la mesa.

25 But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.

26 But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet.

27 This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

28 For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.

29 And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God, being baptized with the baptism of John.

30 But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.

31 And the Lord said, Whereunto then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like?

32 They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourn ed to you, and ye have not wept.

33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil

34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!

35 But wisdom is justified of al her children.
