Action Taken: - -3 Tuesday, April 24, 1979 Department Investigations, Oversight, Public Hearing and Business Meeting Without objection, H.R. 3546 ordered favorably reported to Chairman de la Garza called the meeting to order and recognized the witnesses listed on page 2 of these minutes for their testimony on legislation to extend the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act, as amended. Following their presentations, the witnesses were questioned by the Members of the Subcommittee. At 2:50 p.m. at the conclusion of the public hearing, the Subcommittee met in an open business session and considered the pending legislation. Chairman de la Garza advised that he planned to hold additional oversight on the specific issues which had been raised during the hearings. Discussion occurred on H.R. 3546. Mr. Fithian moved that the bill be ordered favorably reported to the full Committee. Without objection, the motion was agreed to and H.R. 3546 was ordered reported to the full Committee with the recommendation that it do pass in the presence of a quorum.
