LETTER

Transmitting an abstract of licenses granted to trade with the Indians, in the year ending on the 30th September, 1830.

JANUARY 10, 1831.

SIR: In compliance with the provisions of the first section of the act of the 6th May, 1822, to amend "An act to regulate trade and intercourse with the Indian tribes, and to preserve peace on the frontiers," approved March 3d, 1802, I have the honor to transmit, for the information of Congress, an abstract of all licenses to trade with the Indians, granted by the superintendents and agents, during the year ending the 30th September, 1830.
