our Lord we have redemption, Full remission in his blood:

From the curse entire redemption, From the curse pronounc'd by God: What a Saviour Jesus is!

O what love, what love is his!

2 See the Lord, our nature wearing,
This is wond'rous in our eyes;-
See him all our sorrows bearing,
Hark! 'tis he, 'tis he who cries,
While he bears the curse for us,
"Why am I forsaken thus ?

3 Awful cry! it shows his suff'ring,
Far above the reach of thought,
When he gave himself an off'ring,
And with blood his people bought,
When their sins on him were laid,
And their ransom fully paid.

Praise be his, all praise transcending,
Praise on earth, and praise in heav'n;
Praise through ages never ending,

To the Lamb of God be giv'n,

He alone the Saviour is,
Everlasting praise be his.

L. M. Our Righteousness. ANON

1 JESUS thy blood and righteousness, My beauty are, my glorious dress; 'Midst flaming worlds, in these array'd With joy shall I lift up my head.

2 When, from the dust of death, I rise To take my mansion in the skies; E'en then shall this be all my plea, 'Jesus hath liv'd and died for me.'

3 Bold shall I stand in that great day, For who ought to my charge shall lay? While, through thy blood, absolv'd I am From sin and fear, from guilt and shame

4 This spotless robe the same appears, When ruin'd nature sinks in years: No age can change its glorious hue; The grace of Christ is ever new.

50 let the dead now hear thy voice! Now bid thy banish'd ones rejoice; Their beauty this, their glorious dress, Jesus, "the Lord, our Righteousness."

OME heavn'ly love inspire my song
With thine immortal flame;

And teach my heart, and teach my tongue
The Saviour's lovely name.

2 The Saviour! oh what endless charms
Dwell in that blissful sound!
Its influence ev'ry fear disarms
And spreads delight arouud.

3 God's only Son (stupendous grace!)
Forsook his throne above;
And, swift to save our wretched race,
He flew on wings of love.

4 Oh! the rich depths of love divine!
Of bliss a boundless store!

Dear Saviour, let me call thee mine,-
I cannot wish for more!

5 On thee alone my hope relies;

Beneath thy cross I fall;

My Lord, my life, my sacrifice,
My Saviour, and my all!

L. M. Christ our only Saviour.

STEELF.

1 JESUS the spring of joys divine, Whence all our hopes and comforts flow,

Jesus no other name but thiue

Can save us from eternal woe.

2 No other name will heaven approve, Thou art the true, the living way, Ordain'd by everlasting love,

To the bright realms of endless day.

3 There let our constant feet abide,
Nor from the heav'nly path depart:
O let thy spirit, gracious guide!
Direct our steps and cheer our heart.

4 Safe lead us through this world of night,
And bring us to the blissful plains.—
The regions of unclouded light,
Where perfect joy for ever reigns.

L. M. Star of Bethlehem. WHITE WHEN marshal'd on the nightly plain

The glittering host bestud the sky;

One star alone, of all the train,

Can fit the sinner's wand'ring eye.
2 Hark! hark! to God the chorus breaks,
From ev'ry host-from ev'ry gem;
But one alone the Saviour speaks,
It is the star of Bethlehem.

3 It was my guide, my life, my all,
It bade my dark forbodings cease;
And through the storm and dangers thrall,
It led me to the port of peace.

4 Now safely moor'd-my perils o'er,
I'll sing, first in night's diadem,
For ever and for evermore,

The Star! the Star of Bethlehem!

1 WITH what delight I raise my eyes,

And view the courts where Jesus
dwells!

Jesus, who reigns beyond the skies,
And here below his grace reveals.
