against the sum of $523 75, last year; and in addition to the above, 85 Diplomas were awarded to animals or articles of decided merit. Your Committee cannot close this report without alluding to the fact, that the coming year will call for a greater effort to sustain the interests of the Society than has yet been had. The accumulated fund previously on hand has been mostly distributed in premiums, and we again receive only about half of what we are justly entitled to from the county, leaving us deficient from last year nearly a hundred and fifty dollars, which will have to be provided for by our successors. In conclusion we may be permitted again to congratulate the Society upon the success that have crowned their efforts thus far, with the unanimity and zeal which have characterized their proceedings at all times, and with the best wishes for future success, we subscribe ourselves your humble servants, referring you to the Treasurer's Report for a statement of the finances.
