In obedience to the directions of the "Act supplementary to the act to establish the Treasury Department," the Secretary of the Treasury respectfully submits the following report:

I. OF THE PUBLIC REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES.

The receipts into the Treasury, from all sources of revenue, during the year 1827, were

$22,966,363 96 The expenditures for the same year, including public debt, were

22,656,764 04 The balance in the Treasury on the 1st January, 1828, was 6,668,286 10 The receipts from all sources, during the year 1828, were 24,789,463 61
