Exeter -- Gothic, of the 467 467 1,411 10 925 15 8 18 June 1850. 5 Sept. 1849. all the works are completed, with the exception of the staining of the roof and other timbers. -- end of July 1850. - - about 1 the masonry is progressing satisfactorily, and the the whole of the works are finished, with the excep- end of July 1850. about - the building is completely inclosed, the windows the masonry is completed, as far as concerns the the walls generally are level with the ground-floor - the walls of the east end are up to the level of the clerestory; the gable of the chancel is within two feet of the apex; the western gable is level with the clerestory; the nave walls and arches are up to the same level as above; the walls of the north and south aisles are up to the full height; the carpenters' and joiners' works are progressing; the timbers of the roofs of vestry and north porch are being fixed; the timbers for the main roof are for the most part on the ground, and the pew ends are nearly completed. Rochdale, District of Healey Lancaster Manchester decorated, of the 14th century. 1849. the walls of the nave, chancel and aisles are all carried up to their full height; the roofs are all fixed, and the slating is in progress; the tower is carried up to within a height of 6 feet of the ridge of the naveroof. About end of Sept. 1850. the chancel is finished, with the exception of part of Sept. 1850. the tiling of the floor; the nave is in a forward state; the seats are rapidly approaching completion; the walls are plastered, and the glass is in the windows; the tower is built to the junction with the spire. 250 350 600 2,520 12 July 1849.
