Her Majesty's Commissioners have likewise afforded, or expressed their willingness to afford, the same facilities for obtaining sites for Parsonage-houses and Glebe at Bishopworth, in the parish of Bedminster, in the City of Bristol : at Birtley, in the parish of Chester-le-Street; and at Ingleton, in the parish of Staindrop, both in the county of Durham; at Kingsdown, Shoulden and Sturry, all in the county of Kent: at Edenfield, in the parish of Bury, in the county of Lancaster; at Great Wyrley, in the parish of Cannock, in the county of Stafford; at Lyne-cum-Botleys, in the parish of Chertsey, in the county of Surrey; at North Barcombe, in the county of Sussex; at Burcombe, in the county of Wilts; at Bridlington, in the East Riding of the county of York; and at Sheepscar, in the parish of Leeds, and for the new parish of Woodside, both in the West Riding of the county of York.

Her Majesty's Commissioners have further to report, that the parish of Guilsborough, in the county of Northampton, has been divided into two distinct and separate parishes, under the powers contained in the 16th section of the

58th George 3, c. 45, and that consequent thereupon the tithe, glebe, &c., accruing or situate in each division have been assigned to the respective Incumbents thereof.

District parishes have likewise been formed under the provisions of the 21st section of the 58th George 3, cap. 45, for St. Stephen's Church, at Shepherd's Bush, in the parish of Hammersmith, in the county of Middlesex, and for St. Mark's Church, at Hamilton Terrace, in the district parish of Christ Church, St. Mary-le-bone, in the same county.

Her Majesty's Commissioners have also to report, that under the powers contained in the 9th section of the 8th & 9th Victoria, cap. 70, certain contiguous portions of the parishes of Penn and Little Missenden, in the county of Buckingham, have been formed into a Consolidated Chapelry for, and assigned to, Trinity Church, situate in Penn-street, in the said parish of Penn; that certain contiguous portions of the parishes of Eglwysilan and Bedwas, in the counties of Glamorgan and Monmouth, have been formed into a similar Consolidated Chapelry for and assigned to the Church of St. Martin, situate at Caerphilly, in the said parish of Eglwysilan; that certain contiguous portions of the parishes of St. Michael, St. Alban's, Abbotts Langley and Hemel Hempstead, in the county of Hertford, have been formed into a similar Consolidated Chapelry for and assigned to Trinity Church, situate at Leverstock Green, in the said parish of St. Michael; that certain contiguous portions of the parishes of Ipsley, Tardebigge and Feckenham, in the counties of Warwick and Worcester, have been formed into a similar Consolidated Chapelry for and assigned to the Church of St. Luke, situate at Headless Cross, in the said parish of Ipsley; that certain contiguous portions of the parishes of St. Margaret, Langton, Woodhall, Thornton and Thimbleby, in the county of Lincoln, have been formed into a similar Consolidated Chapelry for and assigned to St. Andrew's Church at Langton Moor, in the said parish of Langton; and that certain contiguous portions of the parishes of Bradford and St. Paul, Buttershaw, in the West Riding of the county of York, have been formed into a similar Consolidated Chapelry for and assigned to the Church of St. Matthew at Bank Foot, in the parish of Bradford.

Since their last Report, District Chapelries, under the 16th section of 59th George 3, cap. 134, have been assigned to the following Churches; viz., St. Luke's Church, at Barton Hill, in the parish of St. Philip and St. Jacob, in the city of Bristol; Trinity Church, at Coates, in the parish of St. Mary Whittlesey, in the county of Cambridge; Emmanuel Church, at Swadlincote, in the parish of Church Gresley, in the county of Derby; St. James's Church, at Alderholt, in the parish of Cranborne, in the county of Dorset; St. John's Church, at Birtley, in the parish of Chester-le-Street, and St. John's Church, at Lynesack, in the parochial chapelry of Hamsterley, both in the county of Durham; St. Bartholomew's Church, at Oakridge, in the parish of Bisley, in the county of Gloucester; St. Bartholomew's Church, in Moor-lane, in the parish of St. Giles, Cripplegate, in the city of London; St. Stephen's Church, at Portland Town, in the district parish of Christ Church, St. Mary-le-bone, and All Saints Church, at Knightsbridge, in the parish of St. Margaret, Westminster, both in the county of Middlesex; St. Thomas's Church, at Woolton Hill, in the parish of East Woodhay, in the county of Southampton; Trinity Church, at Forest Row, in the parish of East Grinstead, in the county of Sussex, and St. Paul's Church, at Shepley, in the parish of Kirkburton, in the West Riding of the county of York.

Her Majesty's Commissioners have also to report, that they have, under the powers vested in them by the 1st section of the 8th & 9th Victoria, cap. 70, ordered that a new Church, called St. Barnabas, lately erected in and for the parish of Linslade, in the county of Buckingham, should be substituted for the old parish Church of St. Mary, at Linslade aforesaid; that a new Church, called St. Nicholas Church, lately erected in and for the parish of Upton-cum-Chalvey, in the same county, should be substituted for the old parish Church at Upton aforesaid; that a new Church, called Trinity Church, lately erected at Thorpe, in the parish of Grindon, in the county of Durham, should be substituted for the old Church of St. Thomas A'Beckett, situate at Grindon aforesaid; that a new Church, called St. Mary's Church, lately erected in and for the parish of Clophill, in the county of Bedford, should be substituted for the old Church of St. Mary, situate at Clophill aforesaid; that a new Church, called St. Bartholomew's Church, lately erected in and for the ancient parochial chapelry of Whitworth, in the parish of Rochdale, in the county of Lancaster, should be substituted for the old Church of St. Bartholomew at Whitworth aforesaid; that a new Church, called St. Nicholas Church, lately erected in and for the parish of Middleton, in the county of Sussex, should be substituted for the old Church at Middleton aforesaid; that a new Church, called St. Peter's Church, lately erected in and for the parish of Treyford, în the same county, should be substituted for the old Church at Treyford aforesaid; that a new Church, called the Church of St. Boniface, lately erected in and for the parish of Bonchurch, in the Isle of Wight, should be substituted for the old parish Church at Bonchurch aforesaid; and that a new Church, called the Church of St. Nicholas, lately erected in and for the parish of Cholderton, in the county of Wilts, should be substituted for the old parish Church at Cholderton aforesaid. In each of the before-mentioned cases Her Majesty's Commissioners have, with the consents of the several parties interested therein, transferred all the respective endowments, emoluments or rights of or belonging to each such old Church to each new Church so substituted as aforesaid in lieu thereof.

Under the powers vested in Her Majesty's Commissioners by the 5th section of the 1st & 2d William 4, cap. 38, they have declared the perpetual patronage of a new Church, built and endowed at Kingsdown, in the parish of Ringwould, in the county of Kent, by William Curling, of Kingsdown aforesaid, Esquire, to be vested in him, his heirs and assigns; of a new Church built and endowed at Dalton, in the parish of Rotherham, in the West Riding of the county of York, by George Savile Foljambe, of Osberton, in the county of Nottingham, Esquire, to be vested in him, his heirs and assigns; of a new Church, built by subscription, at Lytham, in the county at Lancaster, and endowed by Thomas Clifton, of Lytham Hall, in the same county, Esquire, to be vested in the said Thomas Clifton, his heirs and assigns; of a Church, called St. Mark's Church, built and endowed by subscription, in the parish of Brighton, in the county of Sussex, to be vested in certain trustees; and of a Church, called St. Jude's Church, purchased and endowed by subscription, in St. George's Road, in the parish of St. George, Southwark, in the county of Surrey, to be vested in certain trustees. To all the before-mentioned Churches, excepting that of St. Mark's Church, Brighton, districts are in the course of being duly assigned under the provisions of the same Act.

Her Majesty's Commissioners have further to report, that they have had under their favourable consideration the following applications under the last-mentioned Act for the perpetual patronage of new Churches, which are proposed to be built, and that these cases respectively are in progress towards completion; namely, from the Duke of Sutherland, for the perpetual patronage to be vested

in his Grace, his heirs and assigns, of a new Church, which he proposes to build and endow in the parish of Lilleshall, in the county of Salop; from the Earl of Radnor and Viscount Folkstone, for the perpetual patronage to be vested in them, their heirs and assigns, of a new Church, which they have built and propose to endow in the parish of Folkstone, in the county of Kent; from John Gurney Hoare, Esquire, and others, for the perpetual patronage, to be vested in certain trustees, of a new Church which is proposed to be built and endowed by subscription in the parish of Hampstead, in the county of Middlesex; from George Bengough, Esquire, for the perpetual patronage of a new Church, to be vested in him, his heirs and assigns, of a new Church, which he proposes to build and endow at the Ridge, in the parish of Wootton-under-Edge, in the county of Gloucester; from Mrs. Frances Brodbelt Stallard Penoyre, widow, and others, for the perpetual patronage, to be vested in the possessor for the time being of a certain estate called "The Moor," in the parish of Clifford, in the county of Hereford, of a new Church, which the said Mrs. Penoyre and others propose to build and endow in the said parish of Clifford; from the Earl of Stamford and Warrington, for the perpetual patronage, to be vested in him, his heirs and assigns, of a new Church, which he proposes to build and endow at Oldfield, in the parish of Bowden, in the county of Chester; from the Rev. William Warde, of Campsall, in the West Riding of the county of York, Clerk, for the perpetual patronage, to be vested in the Archbishop of York for the time being, of new Churches which are proposed to be built and endowed by subscription at Askarn, and Moss-with-Fenwick, respectively, in the parish of Campsall, in the said county of York; and from Thomas Ellis Owen, of Dover Court, in the county of Southampton, Esquire, for the perpetual patronage to be vested in him, his heirs and assigns, of a new Church which he proposes, with the aid of subscriptions, to build and endow in the parish of Portsea, in the said county of Southampton. To all of the foregoing Churches districts will, on the completion and consecration thereof, be assigned under the provisions of the said last-mentioned Act.

the painters' work, and a few inconsiderable parts of the
fittings, &c.

the walls are built to the height of the roofs for the
aisles, and much of the stone is prepared for proceeding
with the columns and arches of the nave.

glazing, a portion of the plastering and the paving; the
fittings are almost all prepared, but not yet fixed.

the walls to the north side-aisle and vestry have the cornice fixed, and ready for the roof timbers; the south aisle has the roof timbers fixed and ready for the slates the walls to tower and west end of nave are 17 feet above the ground line, and the walls to chancel 13 feet; the whole of the windows to the north and side aisles, and also vestry and lower windows to tower, have their tracery inserted; and part of the chancel windows, and west window of nave, and north aisle and vestry, are nearly ready for fixing.
