CHAPTER 51.

Laws-Publication Of.

AN ACT Relating to the Publication of the Session Laws of Wyoming.

Be it enacted by the Council and House of Representatives of the Territory of Wyoming :

SECTION 1. Hereafter it shall be the duty of the secreSecretary of tary of the Territory in preparing the laws passed at each arranging and session of the legislative assembly, to arrange the laws in for publication alphabetical order.

SEC. 2. It shall also be the duty of the secretary to divide the volumes of the session laws into chapters, in the following manner: The law first appearing in the volume shall be chapter first, and the other laws in the volume shall be numbered by chapters successively according to the order in which they appear in the volume.

SEC. 3. It shall be the duty of the secretary of the Territory to prepare a table of contents for the volumes of the session laws, which shall contain the titles of the chapters in said volumes in the order in which the chapters are numbered, with the pages of the volumes in which said chapters may be found, and an index which shall contain an alphabetical list of all the subjects referred to in the laws contained in the volume, and state the page or pages upon which the laws referred to may be found.

SEC. 4. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

CHAPTER 52.

Legislature-Time of Convening.

AN ACT to Amend an Act Entitled "An Act Fixing the Time for the Convening of the Council and House of Representatives of the Territory of Wyoming," Approved December 10, 1869.

Be it enacted by the Council and House of Representatives of the Territory of Wyoming:

SECTION 1. That the legislature of the Territory of Wyoming shall convene at the capital of the Territory Second Tueson the secend Tuesday of January in the year eighteen 1882, and every hundred and eighty-two, and on the second Tuesday of thereafter. January every second year thereafter.

SEC. 2. That all acts and parts of acts conflicting with this act are hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after the adjournment of the sixth legislative assembly.

Amendment to act of Dec. 15 1877.

AN ACT to Amend an Act Entitled "An Act Concerning "County Licenses,"
Approved December 15, 877, Page 76, Session Laws, 877.

Be it enacted by the Council and House of Representatives
of the Territory of Wyoming :

SECTION 1. That the act entitled an act to amend an act entitled "an act concerning county licenses, approved December 15, 1877, page 76, session laws, 1877, be and the same is hereby amended by striking out the words "two hundred and" in the sixth line of section one of the above entitled act.

SEC. 2. That acts and parts of acts in conflict with this act, so far as they do conflict with this act, are hereby repealed.

SEC. 3.

This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

CHAPTER 54.

Liens.

AN ACT Declaratory of Certain Lien Laws of this Territory.

Be it enacted by the Council and House of Representatives

of the Territory of Wyoming :

SECTION 1. That nothing in "An act to create a lien Declaratory of for mechanics and othere in certain cases" of the session laws of Wyoming, approved December 15, 1877, shall be construed as repealing any lien law, theretofore enacted, except as to the county of Laramie, but all lien laws enacted and not repealed before December 15, 1877, are hereby declared to be in force in all other counties in this Territory except the said county of Laramie. Approved December 13, 1879.

CHAPTER 55.
Liens.

AN ACT Relating to Liens of Miners and Others.

Be it enacted by the Council and House of Representatives of the Territory of Wyoming:

SECTION 1. The suits or actions provided for by an Action to enact giving liens to miners and other laborers in mines, brougnt. coal banks and upon oil lands, approved December 2, 1869, and an act to create a lien for miners and laborers in certain cases and for other purposes, approved December 16. 1871, shall be brought in the county in which the lien provided for by said acts is filed or recorded.

SEC. 2. When the owner or owners of the mine upon when. which the lien is filed, being a person or persons, shall reside out of the Territory, or being a corporation shall have its place of business outside the Territory and it shall be impossible to make service of process within the Territory, service may be made by publication in the manner now provided by law.

SEC. 3. When the owner or owners of the mine upon which the lien is filed, shall reside in the Territory but in outside of a county other than that in which the suit or action is action is brought, or being a corporation, shall have its place of business in the Territory but in a county other than that in which the suit or action is brought, and it shall be impossible to make service of process within the county in which the suit or action is brought, it shall be the duty of the clerk of the court in which the suit or action is brought, upon an affidavit being filed in his office showing such facts, to transmit the summons or other process to the sheriff of the county in which the defendant resides or has its place of business, and the summons or other process shall be served by such sheriff and returned as in other cases except that the time for making such service and return and the time of answering in such action may be extended one week.

Declaratory of certain acts.

SEC. 4. The two acts mentsoned in section one of this act shall apply to all persons who shall do any work in and about the mines or oil wells mentioned in said acts, or in hauling and transporting the products of such mines or oil wells at the request of the owner or owners thereof or of his or their agent.

SEC. 5. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
