THE EVERY-DAY COMPANION. PART II. FROM WHITSUNTIDE TO ADVENT. BY THE REV. W. H. RIDLEY, M.Α., RECTOR OF HAMBLEDEN, BUCKS.; AUTHOR OF "A PLAIN TRACT ON CONFIRMATION," "HOLY COMMUNION," HFCA·BODI Oxford and London: JAMES PARKER AND CO. 138. g. 154. I MUST express my regret that in Part I. the days devoted to Lent and Easter were not more distinctly marked as belonging to those special seasons. If a second Edition should be called for, this defect shall be remedied. Meanwhile, those who have purchased Part I. may apply the remedy themselves, by heading Feb. 24 "First Friday in Lent" (after the example of Feb. 23), and so on until April 15 inclusive, when the special Easter texts are discontinued. In like manner May 18, 19, 20, should severally be headed, “Friday," "Saturday," "Sunday after Ascension Day;" and May 28, 29, 30, "Monday," "Tuesday," "Wednesday in Whitsunweek." W. H. R. |
