Bleffed are they that (4) CONSIDER the POOR the Lord will deliver them in the time of Trouble :

The Lord will preferve them, and keep them alive, and they fhall be bleffed upon the Earth; and thou wilt not deliver them into the Will of thine Enemies. •

The Lord will strengthen them upon the Bed of (r) languifhing, and will make all their Beds in their Sick, nefs.

God is their y REFUGE and STRENGTH, a very prefent HELP in time of Trouble.

Therefore they do not (s) FEAR, though the Earth be removed, and though the Mountains be carried into the midft of the Sea.

God will (t) REDEEM their Soul from the Power of the GRAVE, for he fhall receive them.

To him that ordereth his Converfation (u) aright, God will fhew his Salvation.

Caft thy (x) BURDEN upon the Lord, and he fhall fuftain thee; he fhall never fuffer the RIGHTEOUS to be moved:

What time they are afraid, in God they put their TRUST, and will not fear what Flesh can do unto them.

For God that delivereth their Souls from DEATH,

(t) John x1. 25, 26. I am the RESURRECTION and the LIFE:

he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet fhall he live; and whofoever liveth, and believ

eth in me, fhall never die.

verfation be without COVETOUS(u) Heb. x111. 5. Let your ConNESS, and be content with fuch things as ye have; for he hath faid, I will never leave thee, nor forlake thee.

(x) Matt. x1.28, 29. Come unto me, all ye that labour, and are heavy laden, and I will give you Reft. Take my Yoke upon you, and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in Heart, and ye fhall find Reft unte your Souls.

will deliver their Feet from

(y) falling, that they may walk before God in the Light of the Living.

(J) 2 Cor. iv. 9. Perfecuted, but not FORSAKEN; caft down, but not DESTROYED.

Fret not thy felf because of evil Doers, neither be thou envious against the Workers of INIQUITY:

For they fhall foon be cut down like the Grafs, and wither as the green Herb.

TRUST in the Lord, and do Good; fo fhalt thou dwell in the Land, and verily thou fhalt be fed.

Delight thy felf alfo in the Lord, and he shall give thee the Defires of thine Heart.

Commit thy Way unto the Lord; truft alfo in him, and he fhall bring it to pafs:

And he fhall bring forth thy RIGHTEOUSNESS as the Light, and thy JUDGMENT as the Noon-day.

REST in the Lord, and wAIT patiently for him: Fret not thy felf because of him who profpereth in his Way, becaufe of the Man who bringeth wicked Devices to pafs.

Ceafe from Anger, and forfake Wrath; fret not thy felf in any wife to do EVIL:

For evil Doers fhall be cut off; but those that WAIT upon the Lord, they fhall inherit the Earth.

For yet a little while, and the Wicked fhall not be; yea, thou fhalt diligently confider his Place, and it fhall not be. But the MEEK fhall inherit the Earth; and fhall delight themselves in the Abundance of PEACE.

The Wicked plotteth against the Juft, and gnasheth upon him with his Teeth:

The Lord fhall laugh at him, for he seeth that his Day is coming.

The Wicked have drawn out the Sword, and have bent their Bow to caft down the Poor and Needy, and to flay fuch as be of upright Converfation:

Their Sword fhall enter into their own Heart, and their Bows fhall be broken.

A little that the RIGHTEOUS Man hath, is better than the Riches of many Wicked.

For the Arms of the Wicked fhall be broken; but the Lord upholdeth the RIGHTEOUS.

The Lord knoweth the Days of the Upright; and their Inheritance fhall be for ever.

Palm xxxy11. 1, to the End.

They

They fhall not be ashamed in the evil time; and in the Days of Famine they fhall be fatisfied.

But the Wicked fhall PERISH, and the Enemies of the Lord fhall be as the Fat of Lambs, they fhall CONSUME: into Smoak they fhall confume away.

The Wicked borroweth, and payeth not again; but the RIGHTEOUS fheweth Mercy, and giveth.

For fuch as be bleffed of him, fhall inherit the Earth and they that be curfed of him, fhall be cut off.

The Steps of a good Man are ordered by the Lord; and he delighteth in his Way:

Though he fall, he fhall not be utterly caft down; for the Lord upholdeth him with his Hand.

I have been young, and now am old, yet have I not seen the RIGHTEOUs forfaken, nor his Seed begging Bread.

He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his Seed is bleffed. Depart from Evil, and do Good, and dwell for ever

more.

For the Lord loveth Judgment, and FORSAKETH not his Saints; they are PRESERVED for ever: but the Seed of the Wicked fhall be cut off.

The RIGHTEOUS fhall inherit the Land, and dwell therein for ever.

The Mouth of the RIGHTEOUS fpeaketh Wisdom; and his Tongue talketh of Judgment:

The Law of his God is in his Heart, none of his Steps fhall flide.

The Wicked watcheth the RIGHTEOUS, and feeketh to flay him:

The Lord will not leave him in his Hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

Wait on the Lord, and keep his Way, and he fhall exalt thee to inherit the Land: When the Wicked are cut off, thou fhalt fee it.

I have feen the Wicked in great Power, and fpreading himself like a green Bay-Tree:

Yet he paffed away, and lo, he was not; yea, I fought him, but he could not be found.

Mark the perfect Man, and behold the Upright, for the End of that Man is PEACE.

But the Tranfgreffors fhall be destroyed together; the End of the Wicked fhall be cut off.

But

But the Salvation of the RIGHTEOUS is of the Lord he is their Strength in the time of Trouble.

And the Lord fhall help them, and deliver them; he fhall deliver them from the Wicked, and fave them because they trust in him.

way.

Therefore (b) they shall not STAND in the Judgment. For the Way of the Ungodly fhall perish.

(a) Matt. 111.12. Whofe Fan is in his Hand, and he will throughly purge his Floor, and gather his WHEAT into the Garner, but he will burn up the CHAFF with unquenchable Fire.

(b) Matt. xxv. 41, 46. Then fhall he fay unto them on his left Hand, Depart from me ye curfed, into everlafting Fire, prepared for the Devil and his Angels. And these fhall go away into everlasting Punishment, but the Righteous into Life eternal. 2 Theff. 1. 7,8,9, 10. The Lord Jefus fhall be revealed from Heaven, with his mighty Angels, in flaming Fire, taking Vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Chrift; who fhall be punished with everlasting Deftruation from the Prefence of the Lord, and from the Glory of his Power, when he fhall come to be glorified in his Saints, and to be admired in all them that believe. Mark 1x. 44. Where their WORM dieth not, and the FIRE is not quenched.

There is no FAITHFUL NESS in their Mouth, and their inward Part is very WICKEDNESS; their (c) Throat is an open Sepulchre, they flatter with their Tongues.

(c) Rom. 111. 12, 13, 16, 17. They are all gone out of the Way, they are together become unprofitable, there is none that doth good, no not one: Their Throat is an open Sepulchre; with their Tongues they have ufed Deceit; the Poifon of Afps is under their Lips; whofe Mouth is full of Curfing and Bitterness: Destruction and Mifery is in their Ways, and the Way of PEACE have they not known; there is no Fear of God before their Eyes.

The Lord knowgereth not, and their Damnation fhall be caft out in the Mul- cth how to deliver the Godly out of titude of their Tranfgref- Temptations, and to referve the fions, for they have rebelled against God.

God is (e) angry with the Wicked every Day;

And if he turns not, he will whet his Sword.

He ordaineth his Arrows against the Perfecutors:

Who travail with INIQUITY, who conceive Mifchief, and bring forth Falfhood.

Their Mischief fhall return upon their own Head, and their violent Dealing fhall come down upon their own Pate.

God fhall destroy the WICKED, and put out their Name for ever.

The Wicked are fnared in the Work of their own Hands. The Wicked fhall be turned into Hell, and all the Nations that forget God.
