Aeb-jo, a critick; jung-jo, quarrelfome; nam-jo, defirous of fame, ambitious; from jooftun, to feek, fearch, &c.

Bareek-been, fubtile; peshbeen, provident; nuzdeekbeen, short sighted; doorbeen, a fpyglass. This been is either perverted from deedun, to fee, or is the remains of fome old, obfolete verb, used for fome parts of deedun, bibeen, fee thou; mubeen, do not fee.

Dil-ročba or mun-mohun, heart alluring; ahun ročba, attracting iron; the magnet; kuh rečba, attracting ftraws, amber; jug mohun,, captivating the world ruboodun, měhna, to carry off, attract, &c.

Ghureeb purwur, or -nuwaz, protecting the poor; fipah purwur, cherishing the army; alim purwur, patronifing the learned; khanupurwur, home bred; naz purwur, pampered, fostered: prithee pal, cherishing the world; zubaň purwur, or buchun pal, true to one's word; gopal, a cowherd; perhaps contr. in the fem. to gopee, a shepherdess, or damfel; whence the Gopees of Krishŏon, celebrated in the annals of Brij, the Indian Arcadia; yuteem-nuwaz, kind to orphans: nuwakhtun, purwurdun, palna, to nourish, cherish, favour, &c.
