flow, according to order, reported from the committee of the whole house, to whom it was referred to confider of the feveral acts paffed in the last feffion of parliament, relative to corn and provifions, the refolutions which that committee had directed him to report to the house: which he read in his place, and afterwards delivered in at the table, where they were read and agreed to by the houfe, and are as follow. 1. That an act made laft feffion of parliament to prohibit for a limited time, the exportation of corn, grain, meal, malt, four, bread, bifcuit, and starch, and also the extraction of low wines and fpirits from wheat and wheat flour, be continued, with amendments. 2. That the feveral provifions contained in the feveral acts made in the laft feffion for allowing the importation of wheat and wheat flour, from his majesty's colonies in America into this kingdom, for a limited time free of duty; for allowing the importation of wheat, wheat flour, barley, barley meal, and pulfe, free of duty, into this kingdom, from any part of Europe; and for allowing the importation of oats and oatmeal, rye and rye-meal into this kingdom for a limited time, free of duty; and alfo fo much of an act made in the fame feffion, as allows a free importation of rice, into this kingdom, from his majefty's colonies in North America, be continued. 3. That upon the exportation of fuch rice as thall be imported duty free, the like duty be laid as was impoted upon the exportation of rice imported duty free, by virtue of fuch part of the faid act. It was then ordered, that a bill, or bills, be brought in upon these refolutions, and that Mr. Onflow, Mr. Cooper, Mr. Secretary Conway, Mr. Tho. Townfhend, junior, Mr. Pryfe Campbell, and the Lord Clare do prepare and bring in the fame.

The next day it was ordered, that it be an instruction to the above committee, to confider of the importation Oct. 1768.

After which Mr. Cooper prefented to the house, a bill to continue and amend an act passed in the last felfion of parliament to prohibit, for a limited time, the exportation of corn, grain, meal, malt, flour, bread, bifcuit and ftarch, and alfo the extraction of low wines and spirits from wheat and wheat flour; and the fame was received and read the first time, and ordered to be read a fecond time. Which was no fooner done than Mr. Cooper, according to order, prefented to the house a bill to continue the feverai provifions centained in all the acts made in the laft feffion of parliament, for allowing the free importation of wheat and wheat flour, barley, barley meal, pulfe, oats, and oatmeal, rye and rye meal, and rice from the parts therein mentioned, and the fame was alfo received and read the first time, and ordered to be read a fecond time.

On the ft of December 1768, the order of the day being read for the houfe to refolve itfelf into a committee of the whole house, to continue and amend an act made in the laft feffion of parliament, to prohibit, for a limited time, the exportation of corn, &c. there was prefented to the houfe an account of all the corn, grain, meal, malt, flour, bread, "bifcuit, and ftarch, exported from England to any place whatfoever, by virtue, or in purfuance of any of the liberties or pow ers granted for that purpose by an act past the last feffion to prohibit the exportation thereof; fome of which ac counts were ordered to lie upon the table, to be perufed by the members of the houfe, and the reft were referred to the committee of the whole houfe, to whom the bill to prohibit the exportation of corn, &c. was committed. It is proper here to obferve, that the corn, &c. exported in purfuance of the liberties granted in the act to prohibit its exportation, was that allowed to be fent to the ines of Jersey, Guernley, and our garrifons Tit
