THE Queen has been graciously pleased to appoint Stephen Henry Sulivan, Esq., now Her Majesty's Chargé d'Affaires and ConsulGeneral in the Republic of Chili, to be Her Majesty's Chargé d'Affaires and Consul-General in the Republic of Peru.

The Queen has also been graciously pleased to appoint Captain the Honourable Edward Alfred John Harris, R. N., now Her Majesty's Chargé d'Affaires and Consul-General in the Republic of Peru, to be Her Majesty's Chargé d'Affaires and Consul-General in the Republic of Chili.

The Queen has been pleased to approve of Mr. Samuel Morrison as Vice-Consul at Londonderry for the Grand Duke of MecklenburghSchwerin.

The Queen has been pleased to appoint Francis Lewis Shaw Merewether, Esq., to be AuditorGeneral, and William Harvie Christie, Esq., to be Postmaster-General for the colony of New South Wales, and John Sterling, Esq., to be Agent for Church and School Lands in that colony.

The Queen has been pleased to grant unto Douglas Mercer, of Fordel House, in the parish of Dalgetty, in the shire of Fife, Esquire, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Lieutenant-General of Her Majesty's Forces, and Colonel of the 68th (the Durham) Light Infantry Regiment of Foot, Her royal licence and authority that he may, in compliance with an obligation contained in a certain disposition and deed of settlement executed by his cousin, Dame Anna Isabella Henderson Durham, spouse of Sir Philip Charles Henderson Durham, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, and Admiral of Her Majesty's Fleet, both deceased,

take and henceforth use the surname of Henderson, in addition to and after that of Mercer, and the arms of Henderson of Fordel, quarterly with those of Mercer; and that such surname and arms may in like manner be taken, borne, and used by his issue; such arms being first duly exemplified according to the laws of arms, and recorded in the Herald's Office, otherwise Her Majesty's said licence and permission to be void and of none effect:

And also to command, that the said royal concesssion and declaration be registered in Her Majesty's College of Arms.

The Queen has been pleased to grant unto Letitia Atkins, of Butlers Marston, in the county of Warwick, Widow, and relict of John Atkins, of Saint Lawrence, in the Island of Jersey, Gentleman, and unto Ann Catherine Andrews, otherwise Woodward, of Butlers Marston aforesaid, Spinster, only surviving daughters Thomas Andrews, late of Hoxton, in the county of Middlesex, Gentleman, by Amy, his wife, and sisters of Richard Woodward (formerly Richard Andrews), late of Islington, in the said county of Middlesex, Esquire, all deceased, Her royal license and authority that they may, in compliance with a proviso contained in the last will and testament of the said Richard Woodward (formerly Richard Andrews), henceforth take and use the surname of Woodward only and bear the arms of Woodward, such arms being first duly exemplified according to the laws of arms, and recorded in the Herald's Office, otherwise the said royal licence and permission to be void and of none effect.

And also to command that the said royal concession and declaration be registered in Her Majesty's College of Arms.

THE Queen has been pleased to grant unto Charles Brown, Major in the Service of the East India Company, Her royal licence and authority, that in compliance with a proviso contained in a codicil annexed to a certain deed of entail, referring to the estate of Wallace Craigie, in the shire of Forfar, in Scotland, he and his issue may bear and use the surname of Constable, in addition to and after that of Brown;

And to command that the said royal concession and declaration be registered in Her Majesty's College of Arms, otherwise to be void and of none effect.
