1853.

AT the Court at Windsor, the 28th day of December, 1852,

PRESENT,

The QUEEN's Most Excellent Majesty in Council.

WHEREAS by an Act passed in the last session of Parliament, intituled "An Act to "consolidate and amend the law relating to the "militia in England," it is amongst other things enacted, that it shall be lawful for Her Majesty, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to raise and from time to time to keep up any number not exceeding eighty thousand private militia men to serve for the several counties, ridings, and places required by the therein first recited Act to raise militia, fifty thousand of whom may be raised in the year one thousand eight hundred and fifty-two and thirty thousand in the year one thousand eight hundred and fiftythree.

And it is thereby provided, that if it shall happen that the number of men to be raised in either of such years shall not be fully raised in 1853. B
