5 Lit. Gather to me my beloved ones. "He shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other" S. 11 Lit. That which moveth in the field is with me (i. e. is mine). "Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father" S. Mat, 10:29. .

But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man) God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?" "The son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son " S. Lu. 15:21.

A supplication for forgiveness and renewal. vv. 6-12. 6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
7 Lit. Purge me with hyssop, that I may be clean: wash me, that I may be whiter than snow. Verse 2. "Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool" Is. 1:18. "If the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: how much more shall the blood of Christ purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" Heb. 9:13, 14. "These have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb" Rev. 7:14.
8 Lit. Make me to hear gladness and joy; that the bones which thou hast crushed may exult. Verse 12. Ps. 126. "Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted " S. Mat. 5:4.
9 And blot out all mine iniquities. Verse 1.
10 "And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness" Eph. 4:23, 24. "If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new 99 2 Cor. 5:17.
