A Song of Instruction of Ethan the Ezrahite.

This psalm probably refers to the time of Rehoboam, when Judah was invaded, and Jerusalem itself was pillaged by Shishak King of Egypt. 2 Chr. 12:1-9.

I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever. Verses 2, 5, 9, 15, 25, 29, 33, 36, 48.

I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David" Is. 55:3. See Acts 13:34.
