Prayers to be used in the Uestry.

After the Ministers about to officiate are invested with Albs and Girdles, (or, if before Nine or Three o'clock Service, with the vestments appropriate,) the following shall be said:

WILL greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He hath clothed me with the garments of salvation; He hath covered me with the

robe of righteousness.

Gird me, O Lord, with righteousness, and let faithfulness be the girdle of my loins.

GIV

Then, during the putting on of the Stoles;

IVE grace, O Lord, unto Thine unworthy servants to offer to Thee acceptably the prayers of Thy Church: and, as Thou hast laid upon them the burden of this ministry, do Thou enable them to fulfil the same; through Jesus Christ.

R. Amen.

¶ During the putting on of the Cope;

GOD, who hast

to be the One Mediator between God and man; Grant that, through the ministry of intercession ordained in Thy Church, Thy people may find acceptance with Thee, and obtain Thy mercy and grace; for the merits of the same our Lord Jesus Christ..

R. Amen.

Then, the Ministers being ready to proceed to their places, the following shall be said:

CLO

LOTHE Thy priests with righteousness, O Lord, and make Thy saints joyful in Thy salvation. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;

R. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Previously to the Celebration of the Holy Eucharist, the following Prayer shall be used at the putting on of the Chasuble, instead of that above appointed to be used at the putting on of the Cope:

worthily to present upon Thine Altar the offerings and sacrifices of Thy Church: and vouchsafe that he, and all Thy flock and congregation, may be nourished unto eternal life: through Jesus Christ our Lord.

R. Amen.
