How will my heart endure When earth and heav'n, before His face, But, ere the trumpet shakes Hark! from the Gospel's cheering sound, Ye sinners, seek His grace, Whose wrath ye cannot bear ; Fly to the shelter of His cross, And find salvation there. HYMN 55. DAY of Judgment, day of wonders! How the summons Will the sinner's heart confound! See the Judge, our nature wearing, Then shall say, "This God is mine!" Gracious Saviour, Own me in that day for Thine! At His call the dead awaken, Rise to life from earth and sea : All the pow'rs of nature shaken : From His looks prepare to flee : Careless sinner! What will then become of thee? Horrors past imagination Will surprise your trembling heart, When you Hence, accursed wretch, depart, And his angels have thy part !"
