where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory, through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Oh! what a night was that which wrapt

The heathen world in gloom !
Oh! what a sun, which broke this day,

Triumphant from the tomb !
This day be grateful homage paid,

And loud hosannas sung ;
Let gladness dwell in every heart,

And praise on every tongue.

3. — Invitation

[Pathos.] Come to the house of Prayer,

O thou afflicted, come ;
The God of peace shall meet thee there,

He makes that house his home.

Thou, whose benignant eye

In mercy looks on all;
Who sees't the tear of misery,

And hear'st the mourner's call;
Up to thy dwelling place

Bear our frail spirits on,
Till they outstrip time's tardy pace,
