The Compiler feels it necessary to apologize to his respected Relatives and Friends, for the causes which have prevented so long the publication of the following Narrative. It was written, nearly as now printed, at the date it bears; but unavoidable absence from Gloucester, for several months, suspended the necessary alterations and additions; and inability, through business and other causes, to give the dae superintendance to the progress of the Press, has added to the delay.
