SIR: Herewith enclosed is a "statement of the quantity of printing, binding and public advertising, which has been done" for the Medical and Hospital Department of the army "for each year since, the fourth day of March, 1849, to the present time," &c., as required by a resolution of the Senate of May 25, 1852.
