12. TO ROME.-As far as Florence, see above, No. 11. Thence by railway to Rome. Time from London, 57 hours. Fares, 1st class, £10, 15s.; 2d, £7, 17s. Another route from Florence to Rome is via Pisa, which occupies about two hours more, fares the same. See page 669 of this Guide Book.

13. TO NAPLES.-As far as Rome, see above, No. 12. Thence by direct railway to Naples. Time from London, 63 hours. Fares, 1st class, £12; 2d, £8, 16s. 10d. See page 724 of this Guide Book. Another route is that to Marseilles (see No. 9 above), and thence to Naples by direct steamer, or by the steamers which touch at Leghorn (for Florence), Civita Vecchia (for Rome), and Naples.

14. TO VENICE.-As far as Milan, see above, No. 10. Thence by direct railway, via Verona and Padua in 7 hours. Fares from London, 1st class, £9, 1s. 6d.; 2d, £6, 14s. See page 629 of this Guide Book. Another route, but longer and more expensive, is that via Cologne, Munich, Innsbruck, and the Brenner Pass to Verona, Padua, and Venice. Travellers who desire to visit Venice from Vienna may do so by direct railway over the Semmering Pass. See page 599 of this Guide Book.

15. TO GENEVA.-As far as Paris, see above, No. 8. Thence by Lyons railway to Macon, and thence to Geneva. Time from Paris, 11 hours; from London, 22 hours. Fare from London, 1st class, £6, 1s. 9d. See page 362 of this Guide Book.
