The selections reveal the richness of Richmond's historical and cultural traditions, including eyewitness accounts of many of Richmond's major historical events as well as profiles of individuals who have been active in the city's life. Other selections describe dat-to-day lives of Richmonders since 1750. Each piece is introduced by the editors to place it in its historical context.
