AN exceedingly beautiful hybrid, raised at Tooting Nursery from Begonia Rex, in the year 1858, and sent out on the 1st. of May, 1859.

The leaves, which are without spots or hairs, are of a rich metallic silvery hue, having a border of an olive green, which latter is slightly covered with hairs. Near the stem the leaf is green. The stem is red and hairy.

Easily cultivated and propagated as mentioned with B. Rex, and B. Rex variety grandis, (see Plates VI. and IX., and pages 11 and 18.)

As it would be unnecessary to repeat what has been said in describing B. Rex and its variety grandis, the reader is referred to them.

For a specimen of this beautiful plant my thanks are due to Messrs. Rollisson, of Tooting.
