DERIVED from the Greek, Kissus-ivy. A genus of climbers, some of the species of which are very ornamental. Linnæus, 4, order 1, Natural Order Vitacea.

Cissus discolor was introduced into this country in 1851, by Messrs. Rollisson and Sons, of Tooting.

A climbing stove creeper, with somewhat ovate pointed or elongated heart-shaped leaves.

Native of Java.

The leaves, which are six inches long and two inches and a half broad, are coloured on the upper surface in the richest manner conceivable, the plant rivaling in its beautiful foliage
