"I

saw .. them that had gotten the victory stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest " Rev. 15:2-4.

3 Lit. Because my enemies are turned back, because they stumble and perish before thy face. "As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground" S. Jo. 18:6. 9 Lit. That so the LORD may be a high tower to the crushed, a fortress in times of trouble. "A man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest" Is. 32:2.

II "The moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously" Is. 24:23.

12 Lit. He hath not forgotten the cry of the humble. "Surely your blood of your lives will I require; At the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man "Gen. 9:5. "They cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?" Rev. 6:10.

6 Not only is the power of the enemy taken away, but the very names of their strongholds are forgotten. Memorial, i. e. memory. 10 Here, as often in the psalms when the praise heightens, God is addressed directly. Failed, K. 13 Have mercy upon me, O LORD; consider the trouble which I suffer of them that hate me: thou that liftest me up from the gates of death;

14 That I may show all thy praises within the ports of the daughter of Sion: I will rejoice in thy salvation.

15 The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the same net which they hid privily is their foot taken.

16 The LORD is known to execute judgment: the ungodly is trapped in the work of his own hands.

3 For the ungodly hath made boast of his own heart's desire: and speaketh good of the covetous, whom GOD abhorreth.

4 The ungodly is so proud, that he careth not for God: neither is God in all his thoughts.

5 His ways are alway grievous: thy judgments are far above out of his sight, and therefore defieth he all his enemies.

6 For he hath said in his heart, Tush! I shall never be cast down : there shall no harm happen unto

IO He doth ravish the poor : when he getteth him into his net.
