2 How long shall I seek counsel in my soul, and be so vexed

"When the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?" S. Lu. 18:8. "Many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him" S. Jo. 6:66. "Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet Í am not alone, because the Father is with me" S. Jo. 16:32. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled" S. Matt. 26:56. See I Kin. 19:10.

2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak. "Their tongue is as an arrow shot out; it speaketh deceit one speaketh peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth, but in heart he layeth his wait" Jer. 9:8.
